First Home Owners Scheme - Now Even Better!
(November 28)We have been seeing a lot of activity from the First Home Buyer market recently. It is no surprise with the generous Federal and State
Government incentives of up to $24000 being offered to First home Buyers for the purchase of a new home.
According to the Real Estate Institue of NSW there has never been a better time to buy your first home.
"There is some silver lining to the dark cloud of the economic crisis with even lower interest rates on the way making housing more
affordable. Cheaper costs of borrowing combined with a doubling of the standard first home buyers grant means it is easier than ever

If you are looking at buying or building your first home you should look at the NSW Office Of State Revenue website www.osr.nsw.gov.au/benefits/first_home and assess your own eligibility.
There are three schemes currently on offer. PDF's for each are available for download and print from OSR. We have linked them below for your convenience.
- First Home Benefits - $7000 First Home Owner Grant. Exemptions and concessions on duty.
- First Home Owner Boost Scheme - Extra $7000 for buying an established home. Extra $14000 for buying or building a new home. For contracts made between 14th October 2008 and 30th June 2009
- NSW New Home Buyers Supplement - Extra $3000 for buying or building a new home. For contracts made between 11th November 2008 and 10th November 2009.
So if you qualify for the benefits and you are serious about owning your own home there is no time to waste. The $14000 First Home Owner Boost Scheme expires on 30th June 2009.
